Touch-a-Truck
Touch-a-Truck is the Yellow Springs Police Department’s annual community engagement event designed to bring residents and Village employees together for a fun, interactive experience.

Residents of all ages are invited to meet the people who help keep the community safe and operational while exploring vehicles and equipment from across Village departments, including:

• Police cruisers and public safety equipment
• Fire department engines and emergency vehicles
• Public Works trucks and heavy equipment

The event provides an opportunity to connect with officers, dispatchers, firefighters, and Village staff in a relaxed, non-enforcement setting.

This event is hosted annually, subject to operational demands and personnel availability.

Donut Dialogue
Donut Dialogue is a community outreach event hosted by the Yellow Springs Police Department at Yellow Springs High School before Spring Break. Officers and department staff spend time with students, sharing conversation and building positive relationships over a simple treat: donuts.

The goal of this event is to create an intentional opportunity for students and police employees to interact in a welcoming, informal environment. By meeting students where they are, the department continues to build trust and strengthen relationships with the next generation of Yellow Springs residents.

Community Coats
Community Coats is an annual program supported by donations from the Yellow Springs community. Throughout the year, the Police Department collects contributions to provide winter clothing assistance to students in need.

Each winter, officers partner with Mills Lawn Elementary School to help students select new coats, hats, and gloves at no cost to their families. The program provides essential winter gear while creating positive opportunities for officers and students to connect.
