Given the spectrum of desired and recommended improvements under the Active Transportation Plan, the Village team submitted a Safety Funding Application to ODOT. The Village was successful in securing funds among a record setting 77 applications worth more than $197 million, far exceeding funds available for projects.
The Village of Yellow Springs attracts over 300,000 people annually through our unique offerings and a variety of festivals and events. With a strong history of academic excellence, progressive independence, creativity and diversity, Yellow Springs is often listed as one of the “Coolest”, “Most Beautiful” and “Best College” small towns to visit. The Village is a “destination” for its natural beauty, culture and economic vibrancy.
