If you don’t have access to the internet, please contact the Council Clerk at 937-767-9126 by 3:00 p.m. the day of the meeting to learn about additional options for remote participation.
Ability to Attend In-Person
To provide full access to Council Meetings for those who may not have reliable internet or phone service, Room A&B at the John Bryan Center will be open to the public during Council Meetings. Social distancing and masks are required to attend. This provision allows for in-person comments during the appropriate section(s) of the meeting. A moderator will be on-hand to assist community members who wish to attend and/or participate. RSVP is not required at this time but recommended to ensure capacity limitations are not exceeded. Meetings begin at 7pm and the doors will remain open throughout the duration of the meeting.
Public Comments during Council Meetings:
There will be the opportunity for public comment during the meeting for each agenda item under Public Comment/Public Hearing section and will be read before the Council takes action on the item. The Public may also participate by emailing the Council Clerk at clerk@vil.yellowsprings.oh.us during the Public Comment/Public Hearing section of each item when Council President opens the matter for Public Comment/Public Hearing section.
If you experience an issue during the live meeting, you can still submit your comments to the Council Clerk by email.
Effective April 5th, the zoom system will require the public to request permission to unmute. Also, due to Sunshine Law requirements, the Chatbox will be disabled to prevent an unofficial dialogue between the public and council members.
PLEASE NOTE: To ensure the Village Council receives your comments, you may submit written comments to the Council Clerk on the Thursday prior to the Council meeting. Comments submitted in advance of the meeting will be provided to the Village Council and included in the Council Packet.
Schedule:
Regular Village Council meetings are on the first and third Mondays each month at 7:00 p.m. View Council meeting agendas online at the Village of Yellow Springs Agenda Page.
