Village of Yellow Springs, Ohio

ATTENTION VILLAGERS:

On January 10, 2025, at approximately 11:21PM, Yellow Springs Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Livermore Street in reference to a welfare check request. On arrival, officers discovered a person with apparent gunshot wounds. At the direction of Chief Burge, the Bureau of Criminal Investigations was requested to assist with the investigation.
 
The suspect in the case was quickly taken into custody without incident. 
 
There is no threat to the community at large. There is still ongoing investigatory work being conducted, and as such, community members will see said activity in the area of Livermore Street throughout the day. This case remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further details are being released at this time.
